CD Rom Controller Error

Hi,

l have a fairly new PC but am having a cd-rom
problem. My problem is sometimes my CD tray won't open.
l checked the system log files l can keep seeing a
ontroller error on\device\cdrom1 error message. Sometimes
the computer doesn't even reconigize when a cd is in the
computer. l have tried troubleshooting but to no avail.
My DVD-Rom drive works fine. l think my problems may
have started when l tried to erase from a cd-rw disk as
this was when the tray first locked. Any help appreciated.
