CD-rom, CD-RW & Floppy do not work

After I installed SP4 for Win2000 Pro, I can no longer
access the CD's or the floppy. They show up in device
manager and explorer. When a cd or floppy is inserted and
selected in explorer, the response CD or Floppy is not
Formatted.

I have dual boot system. I can go to the windows 98
drive, it is on a separate hard drive, not a partition,
and the drives work fine.

Why????
