CD ROM & CD Writer

      21st Sep 2003
I installed Windows XP Professional and my CD units
loaded 4-5 times and then stopped. They do not
show up under "my computer" or the BIOS when booting up.
They are supported when using an emergency boot disk.

If they're not showing up in the BIOS, then either the cable (ribbon) is not
connected correctly or there is a power supply problem.
