I was wondering if anyone knows what the code 39 means
and how to fix the problem when seen after the message
that the add new hardware window cannot load your
drivers. In the device manager both CD rom drives have a
yellow (!) looks like an exclamation point. I removed
both drives from the device manager as suggested in the
help files and tried to have windows find them from the
add new hardware window and that's where i got the code
39 from. That is where I am now.

You should go to http://support.microsoft.com/ and do a kb search on code
39. You might start with this one:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;314060
