Have a CD/DVD player it worked, now it won't. Green light comes on than goes to red, every once in awhile it will pop open and then I shut it and it makes noises. I have a wireless mouse that it has worked with and I took it off and added one with tail; original Player worked, than stopped next time I started. New drivers do not work. Check the data cable for the CD/DVD drive and make sure it has not worked
loose from the connector. The drive could also simply be defective. I've
replaced 3 of them recently for friends.

By the way, when you said you "shut it", I hope you meant that you "shut it"
by using the close button. Pushing the drawer closed by hand will damage it.

What does a wireless mouse have to do with it? I see no relationship there
at all.
