I have 2 CD roms installed, one is a writer, which until
recently worked fine. Now they both recognise the first
disk after boot but, although they will read subsequent
disks, they are treated as the first disk regards free
space and disk name.

CDR and CDRW are given properties as full even when
empty. On attempts to write to them it reports 'no disk
in drive'

confused, I am.

please remove 'not' from email address to reply

Many thanks for any assistance.

John
