You should have at least a 12 month warranty unless you purchased additional
time for an extended warranty. Which would replace yours if it is not
operating
correctly or ready to "bite the dust". But, first check how much music you
put
on the disk. "12 or so" songs may have filled it up, but you must have
sufficient
room left over on the disk for finalization so it will play on a CD player
or even
your computer.
