I have a Sony CD-R drive. And the cd-r drive disapear in
My Computer. On the device manager it says: Windows cannot

Your best bet is to look at Microsoft Knowledge Base
Article 314060, which attributes this to "Removing Easy
CD Creator in Windows XP." That article also suggests a
registry fix.

Another reason might be an incorrect driver. Try to
reinstall the CD-R in the Device Manager
