My w2000 will not accept my cdr-w as a write device, bit
only as a read only device.
I want to remove it from the registry as i think it may
have misread it when it was installed.

I dont know where in te registry to remove it, i have only
found articals on doing this in xp, and its not the same
for w2000

I would appreciate any help i can get

Thanks

Alan

are you using roxio product as burning software ? same error
occurred with me, there is an update patch on the roxio
site. I think the error was with adaptec CD creator 4

I doubt the problem would be with the registry .

good luck

Geoff

is the drive set as master on a separate ide channel ?

if yes then try to remove (uninstall) device from control
panel, un install the software, then re install burner and
then the software

good luck

Geoff
