aCD-RW. I use to be able to do it with NERO,it had A check box you could
check to add files later. But now my new burner won't work NERO?

Make sure your session is left open. Then you should be able to write more
to the CD, whether it's -R or -RW. If you close the session, then that's it
unless you want to erase the CD-RW and start over.
If Nero won't do it, you may have to patch or re-patch whichever version you
have in order for it to recognize you new drive. Depending on the version
you are using, it may not be recognized by Nero without an upgrade. Version
7 doesn't recognize my Asus Lightscribe too well.
Depending on what you want to do, there are plenty of alternatives to Nero's
pricey suites.

Hi, Mike
It would be nice if you continued your original thread rather than start a
new thread. If you are a newbee, I can understand the mistake.

Nero and other CD writing software can add more info to a previously written
CD-R, but it requires that the CD not be finalized when the previous data
was written. Nero and other software can do this. Perhaps Nero has an
update that would help you access your current CD writer.

The software you used has ??? capability and you did the original write in
some unspecified manner. If you don't give us clues, we can't give you
clues.

Mike, to add to what SC Tom has said, you can use the CD Writing Wizard that
is built into XP for this. Right click on the file you want to burn, and
select "Send To" and select your burner drive from the menu. The wizard will
open and prompt to write these files to CD. You can add as many files to the
queue before writing, as there is room on the disk. You can give the disk a
label, but don't change the label between sessions, or previous data may
become unreadable. If you are archiving photos on CD, I recommend that you
fill the disk to capacity in one session and finalize the disk. If you leave
the disk open, you're asking for trouble. Don't delete pictures or other
valuable data off your hard drive until you verify the disk is readable on
several computers. Make a second copy of the disks and store them in
different places, CD-R's are cheap these days.
