Cd player wont update

When I change disc in my player it still shows the content
of the old disc. I've tried refreshing, waiting, closing
down all active windows then reopening i.e. explore. My
friend suggested checking my auto notification on the
drives but I can't find it. Loooking for any ideas, thanks.
