CD Options Disappeared

I recently had to create a new user id after my old one
was destroyed. Everything is working well except for two
things. First, I have to log into Windows now which I
didn't have to before (and I can't make it automatically
display my correct username), and secondly, all the menu
options such as "Copy to CD" and "Write these files to
CD" have disappeared and I can't find them anywhere. I
have looked in Control Panel and it shows that my cd-rw
is working correctly, but I just can't write anything to
it and them commands to do so are AWOL.
