cd opens under one profile but not another ...

hi all,

stumped by a windows xp machine that opens a data cd perfectly under a non-
priviledged profile, but not another another similar profile.

checked auto open properties, plus nuked and re-installed driver.

can perfectly read the cd whilest under cmd prompt and going to drive letter.

any help appreciated ...
