My CD wizard will recognize the material to be copied to
new CD and go through all of the steps to record but at
the very last it says it is unable to finish the writing
of material and ask m to try new disk, save information,
etc. If I but in a new disk it will do the exact same
thing. What it does do is make the CD so it is not
usable.

I have clened the laser writer, bought new CD's and tried
several different files. Help.

Would it just be easier to replace the CD or is it a XP
problem?

Sounds like the CD's you are using are not compatible with your CD writer.
Check out the manufacturers web site to find out what brands they recommend.
I had similar problem and in my case the drive is Plextor 708a DVD writer
and the media I was trying to use was MAXELL. The Plextor's website does not
recommend Maxell DVD+RW.

If you are using NT & Roxio, Roxio doesn't support NT any
more. The program will install and run through most of
its paces, but will never finish the CD.
