A friend recently gave us a MP3 player which we can carry around with us. We
tried to download some MP3 songs, but notice many of the sites require money
to paid monthly or to be paid per song. Someone said it would be cheapter (we
are senior citizens living on small monthly income) to transfer some of the
songs from some of our CDs to MP3 and then load them onto the MP3 player we
now have.
Can someone tell us where we might be able to secure some sort of a program
that would allow us to convert some songs form some of our CDs to MP3? Thank
you for any help.
(We have WinXPsp2; IE6; WinMediaPlayer9 (someone said ver 10 is problematic
and we should just keep ver 9).

Maybe someone who has and uses both MusicMatch 10 and Audiograbber 1.83 can
answer...

click on it, a new Install screen opens and asks several questions that we
are unsure as how to answer. One deals with "acquire licenses," etc., We
don't know if we should continue because we wouldn't know how to answer the
questions. We wonder if someone would be able to help us regarding setting-up
MS Media Player 9. Is anymore downloading required, or to we have to purchase
anything else? How do we answer the questions? All we want to do is copy
songs from our CDs to MP3 so we can play them on our MP3. As we mentioned, we
are senior citizens and this is all quite confusing to us. (Or maybe there is
someplace we can read about installing MS Media Player 9?)


We did DL MusicMatch 10 and it appears to be working okay, thus far.
