am running a desktop with a DVD Cd drive and also a Cd
writer. All Under Windows 2000 Professional.
For no apparrent reason and in the middle of a "session"
both drives will not attempt to access any media. The
drive letters are listed fine, but any Cd inserted only
get the "insert a cd in drve X" message.
this then becomes a permanent problem and it is not
possible to read ANY Cds at all. Hardware is fine as is
the media in the past only reloading windows worked and
that really is beginning to wear a bit thin as a good idea.
Any ideas VERy gratefully Recieved
..
