so i had just ripped my daft punk cd on to Windows Media Player. Once
that was finnished I took it out and put in Coldplay to rip. For some
reason unknown it wouldn't play. The computer read that there was no
cd in the drive. so i took it out cleaned the cd, cleaned off the
drive, and put it again. Nothing. I tried two or three other cds and
same result. If anyone knows what the problem is I would love to
know.

you ripped the disc twice?? and put the original in coldplay to play and
it's blank, is that what your saying??

or are you saying you put the copy of the original in coldplay and it's blank?
if so, are you certain it burned and finalized the session? with no errors?
