presentation made from powerpoint 97 to a CD will not open on window ME.error
message state powerpoint cannot open the type of file represent by BLANK~1,.My
question is can ME open file that or run off powerpoint 97--
last of the line

Why not ask this in a Windows Me newsgroup, or a powerpoint newsgroup? This
one is for the XP OS. Look at the newsgroups under
microsoft.public.windowsme or microsoft.public.powerpoint

You have an application installed on ME that will actually open a PowerPoint
presentation? The error message would suggest not....

Since this is neither a PowerPoint newsgroup nor an Me one, your question is
really off-topic here. Hereover since the answer seems very easy, if the
statement above is accurate, I'll point out that the file Blank~1 was
apparently saved with an inappropriate name. PowerPoint presentaions need to
have Powerpoint extensions to be opened.

This implies that you do not have Powerpoint loaded on the machine you are
trying to open it on. Powerpoint is a separate program than Windows.

Download and install PowerPoint Viewer 2003 from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
