cd info does not display

i just purchased a new external sony dvd/cd drive that came with Nero
software. After installing the Nero software, everytime I instert an audio cd
in either my laptop cd drive or the external one, the audio cd title does not
display. Also, when I go to my computer and view the either cd drive, there
is no disc title and each song say there is only 44bytes of info. Why does it
no longer display the .wav info for each song?
