Uninstall the cd burning software again.
If you have a cd-rw plug in installed for media player, uninstall it as
well.
Back up your registry and use Regedt32 to navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Select\). Verify the current start value (0xn).
2. Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet<nnn from step
1>\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
3. Delete UPPERFILTERS and LOWERFILTERS values.
4. Exit Regedt32.
5. Shutdown and restart.
6. Reinstall the software.
