My computer is running Windows XP, home. My grandson turned th
computer OFF using a switch while it was accessing a CD. NOW window
will not access ANY cd..... I get the following message: "Disk No
Formatted, Windows cannot read from the disk. The disk may b
corrupted, or it could be using a format not compatible with windows."
This includes my Windows XP cd, game CDs and Music.
The drive shows as there in My Computer, and running the devise manage
I am told everything is working properly.
Things I have already tried:
1. I reinstalled the drivers.
2. I swapped out the CD ROM (done 3x with 3 different pieces o
hardware).
3. I swapped out the ribbon cables.
4. Instead of having it Master 2, I slaved it to the hard drive (an
yes I remembered to change the jumpers).
Anyone have ANY suggestions?
