after my subscription ran out on systemworks 2005 I uninstalled it. Then I
install 2006 Sw. When it rebooted It hung At WindowsXP screen and would not
let me log on to safe mode. finnaly i tryed las good config and it got me to
desktop. but, my CD & DVD Rom dont show up in my computer and there is
exclamation points under device manager. I uninstalled and ask it to search
for new hardware. It found them Installed software and then said a problem
0ccurred during hardware installation. does any one have a sollution. I've
tryed cd dvd rom repair and removing lowwer and upper filter in the registry.
As well as system restore. I have also removed the symantec software with
the tools provided at their web site.

Boot into Safe Mode, open Device Manager, remove/delete problem devices,
reboot and let Windows re-detect.
