i have a problem... it seems that my cd/dvd rw plays can burn and read, but
if i try to play dvds/cds straight from the drive, regardless of the program,
the cd/dvd plays slowly with regular skips in sound and video, when i first
setup my pc it was working fine but now i cant figure out what's making it
run slowly. i checked my driver, and that seems to working fine.

Is there some sort of setting i may have inadvertedly changed or i can
change that isnt in the basic properties of the drive.

Boot into Safe Mode, open Device Manager, remove/delete the CD/DVD device,
reboot and let Windows re-detect the item and load the drivers.

I just tried that, i still have the same problem, it's like the drive is
reading the discs too slow.
