cd/dvd drive noise

's Computer Specifications

i have a sony dru-530A dvd/cd writer drive. i've been bothered by the noise
it makes when it spins loudly when i play a audio cd or a data cd with video
on it, although watching dvds and playing cd-rom games is ok. is there anyway
i can reduce the noise?

hmmm...maybe it has to do with something about the read speed??
