Can anyone help me with my problem? The problem is is that after I installed
everything I needed for my computer including Vista, My CD drives stopped
working. It still opened and everything but it the computer wouldn't
recognize it and wouldn't show the contents of the cd

Go to Device Manger and check that whether a driver is installed, if not
install driver.
If driver is installed, update driver,
Ensure the driver compatible with Vista in both cases.
The driver may be obtainable from the CD/DVD manufacturer or search the Web.

use the fix in the below KB for your Upper and Lower Filters which are incorrect. Ignore the title of the KB and follow the fix.
