Umm I dont think he changed anything in the BIOS, since as previously
posted, both cds were working BEFORE the upgrade. The BIOS knows theyre
there, but Windows doesnt know they were there
He's fixed the prob now, the other prob, was the PC he was trying to do a
clean install on (the floppy was knackered for the SATA drivers).
Which is why he upgraded instead of doing a clean install (which didnt
work). BUT, I managed to find a zipped VIA SATA file on the msgn.org site.
Which finally did the trick. He followed the info in the txt file in this
file, and added the lines needed (to txtsetup.sif) to a copy of the XP CD,
then reburned the CD.
Then he was able to get the install to recognise the hdd, so he could do a
clean install !
