since burning a dvd with roxio and recieving a message telling me that it had
stopped because of a a request from ??.I have not been able to read or
write CDS OR Dvds. Device manager is telling me all is A ok.I get the D
drive graphics on opening my computer double click ,they flicker. the lamp
on the front seems to be reading the disc. If I try to burn all I get is
there iis no disc in the D drive. I have uninstalled and then reinstalled the
driver to no avail.Any Ideas before I go bonkers.and my wife sends me to an
asylam

Try removing the Upper and Lower filters from the Registry. Detailed

Simply remove the roxio software,roxio is really junk software & offers no
benifits of any kind to xp...
