The Windows box appears as usual and indicates the size of all the files
located at the lower left of the window. However, the files burned to the CD
do not appear on the right side of the window.

The only way I can get the files to appear is the following:

Right-click properties over the D-drive (CD-RW) icon in My Computer.

Click on the Hardware tab and then highlight _NEC CD-RW NR-9300A, then click
on properties.

Then I click on the Volumes tab and click on the populate button. The
information appears above, the CD drive begins to spin and then when I open
the CD window the files appear.

Dell wants to re-intall my Windows XP again. Not sure I want to do that
just yet...

Can anyone help me with this issue??
