I have a creative labs cdrw 121032E drive whick was
working fine after the upgrade to XP Pro. then after
running some software to get rid of the spy stuff that
finds its way onto my computer my drive dosent work
properly.
it will write a cd , read a music cd, write a vcd but if
i try to read a data cd the disk will spin then slow down
and spin again then slow again and it keeps doing this
and the system seems to hang until i eject the disk then
its fine again. I have uninstalled the drivers ,
reinstalled them, even deleted them and tryed to install
new ones.. still does the same thing, been on creative
labs web site but it says the drivers come on the xp
disk, so no help there. If i cant replace the drivers
anybody know how to change back to win 98 or win 2k?
oh and the drive works fine under dos.
Please help
