CD Drive - Incorrect Function Error

I have Windows XP.

The problem is that whenever I insert a blank CD into my
CD-Writer, Windows cannot recognize the drive anymore.

It changes the name of the drive from a CD-RW drive to a CD
drive. I have tried running Roxizap and I have tried
downloading every Roxi update, and none of those have
worked. I have reinstalled my CD-RW drive, and I have tried
the xp_cd_dvd_fix. Can anyone offer any help?
