I have a toshiba satellite laptop which i just had to re-format the hard
disk. Now I can read "original" CDs and DVDs but none that I made prior to
reformatting.

Yes, i have tried all the articles in knowledge bank. And yes, the CDs play
perfectly fine on other computers.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Tried this too.

Ended up copying to external hard drive from another computer then copy back
to mine.
