Possibly after visiting one of these security sites that
shows off by opening your cd drawer mine no longer stays
shut. I can't uninstall and reinstall as I can't use the
cd because the drawer won't stay shut.

Does the drawer open as the PC starts or after windows has loaded, if it's
prior to windows the cdrom may be faulty. Have you tried safemode to see if
that helps, if it's ok that would suggest something loading in windows
normal start-up. You could try Adaware for any spyware.

Have spyboted and adawared but nada.
The drawer closes itself as soon as I hit restart and
opens itself about a second later before anything loads...

Could be time for a new drive. If the drive opens as soon as power is
applied I would change it.
