I had to revamp my hard drive. I installed Windows xp
home edition. I had a cd for adaptec easy cd creator 3.5
that came with my Dell computer. After installing the new
windows xp, I get a message the the driver for the cd
creator is not compatible and will not allow it to
install.

That is a good thing. It really will stuff the XP install. You'll need to purchase the latest version of Roxio or another CD mastering product. I use RecordNow Max from www.stompinc.com HTH.
