I don't recall when this started happening, but when a new CD is inserted,
the directory of the first CD is still displayed (command line or GUI -
doesn't matter how you look at it).
This happens with two separate devices, which work as expected in other
operating systems.
To see a different disc (other than the first disc inserted after boot), I
use cdrecord with the -load option instead of simply closing the tray, and
that somehow tricks Win2K into seeing the new CD.
I do have CD packet writing software installed, but have it configured not
to muck with an inserted disc automatically. I also have autorun
disabled, as it should be.
So, anyone know what the root of the malfunction is?
