I think the software has been corrupted for my XP CD burner support. It may
have been corrupted when I had to uninstall the latest Internet Explorer &
back up to an older system restore point.
I can set up files to burn to the drive and I get the "files are ready to be
wriiten to CD" message but when I click on the drive's "Write these files to
CD" option it doesn't recognize that I have a blank CD in the drive. I can
read CDs & DVDs with this drive and the blank CDs work in another computer.
Another symptom of the possible corruption is that the CD drive Properties
Menu has learned Italian. The Recording, Autoplay, Hardware & Sharing (The
Enable CD Recording Option is checked) are in English - the other three tabs
are in Italian.
Can I reinstall just the CD burning dlls or am I in for a complete reinstall
of windows XP & all of the software on my computer?
