I can't seem to back up my MP3's using windows XP's built
in Cd burner function. The data will be prepared, the
data will start to be written and at about 70% the
process will begin to close (performing final steps to
make CD ready to use), and after about a minute, an error
message saying the CD writing wizard cannot be completed
appeared. Thinking it was my drivers, I updated them, yet
to no avail I still have the problem. The music I am
burning does not exceed the limit for the disk. Help is
much appreciated

I am having the same problem. Thing is I never had the problem before I
upgraded to XP SP-2.
