I have a CD Burner (LITEON) and a DVD player, however
software such as Nero, Clone CD etc will not recognise
the presence of the burner. I can however burn CDs from
windows explorer without problem.

What need I do to get my burner visible to my burner S/W ?

Karl,

Did the SW you are trying to use come with another brand/model CD-RW? They
are usually "locked" to only work with the brand/model that they came with,
so that you get the problem that you related.

In that case, you either need to find the right SW CD to go with that drive
or buy a Retail copy of the SW (usually cheaper to buy a new drive
w/software, especially after rebates).
