I have burned many CD's and have never had a problem with the CD burner. I
tried to burn one yesterday in my 2000 Compaq computer (XP Windows), and the
computer kept saying there was no disc in the F Drive (where I've always
burned CD's from). I tried several CD's (blank and those with music on them).
None made the message of "no disc in F drive" disappear. When I went to My
Computer, it did register that there was something in the drive, but nothing
showed up on the screen to indicate there was.

Thoughts? Thanks.

Reboot first after you empty the drive, then:
CD-R Drive or CD-RW Drive Is Not Recognized As a Recordable Device
