Can anyone give me an overview of known problems or
conflicts with the "Sonic" software that Dell is putting
in it's new systems? Are discs formatted with Sonic able
to be read/written on in other computers containing
Adaptec software - and vice versa? FYI - I am NOT
currently running both Sonic and Adaptec in my Dell, just
the Sonic that came with the system. I have many, many
discs previously made and used with Adaptec. Thank you.

also I use Roxio Easy CD creator, that has no problem.
also that came with adaptec version of arcsoft ShowBiz.
Sonic has many of softwares.
whic version and which products do you have?
what kind of error massahe do you have?
do you have enough hard disk space and memory?

The Sonic software on my new Dell was automatically deactivated when I
installed Easy CDCreator 6. This is a known occurence and it works in
reverse--if you already have EasyCD and try to install Sonic record now
it gives a warning that it will deactivate or uninstall Easy CD.
Anyway, I have no problem because EasyCD is in my opinion a better
program so that's the one I wanted on my computer. I do know that cd's
burned on our other computer (that has only Sonic on it) work fine on my
computer with EasyCD and visa-versa. Hope this helps.

Ken
