CD burn queue?

Whenever I select a file to be copied to CD, Vista immediately prompts me to
insert a blank disk then burns the file. No matter what I try, that prompt
pops up and I can't do anything but insert a file. Is there any way to
configure Vista to work the way XP does and just create a list of files to
be burned at my own convenience?

I have combed the Help content and searched the Internet and can't find
anything that talks about this issue. There is a topic that suggests I can
create a "Mastered" disc on an exception basis but, as far as I can tell,
you only get that option *after* you have inserted a disk and you are still
expected to do everything right then.

Is there some configuration option somewhere that I can set (or a registry
key to edit) to replicate the more usable XP behavior?

I believe all you need to do is put the files you want to burn in a folder
(called ,say, files to burn) then you can select them all and choose burn
when you are ready.

Are you saying that there is no way to have it automatically create a proper
burn queue as in Windows XP?

Not the same as XP as far as I know. If you insert a blank disk, it will
create a blank disk folder that you can copy or drag files, etc into for
burning. Check out "burn cd" in windows help

Mine (Vista) seems to work exactly the same way it did in XP. What do you
mean "proper queue"?
