The CD burner wizard will not work on my XP SP2 Dell Insprion 9300.
When I drag files to the burner drive then choose Write These Files to
CD from the menu the wizard always shows that there is no disc in the
drive.

Have no problem burning CDs and DVDs with Nero or other programs. Why
will Windows not burn a CD?

Try going to Control Panel>AdminTools>Services>IMAPI CD Burning Com Service.
Make sure it's Started.

The service was stopped but starting it did not eliminate the error.
Any other suggestions?
