Hello Dallas:

That was two days ago. A little while back, I started running CCleaner
as a batch job, which you can do too by passing it the /AUTO parameter
during the "Scheduled Tasks" setup.

As that's being done, and if you've asked CCleaner to check for updates,
you can be self notified of its available update within hours of its
published release.

Another way of keeping up-to-date is with FileHippo's Update Checker:

<http://www.filehippo.com/updatechecker/>

FWIW. Best wishes Dallas.

Pete

I tried the /Auto parameter in the Scheduled Tasks, but got an error
message: "0x80070005 access is denied. You don't have permission to
perform the requested task." What does that mean?

I think I heard one of the "smart folks" whisper that it needs to be
setup and run strictly as /the/ *Administrator* only.
