Hello, I tried to send a message to a website "contact us" form. At the
end of the form I was asked to type in two words from a dialog box, matching
what I saw, then hit the continue button to send the message. I keep getting
a pop-up dialog box, I assume from Windows, telling me: ! category requires a
value. No attempts to redo the typing will keep me from getting the same
pop-up message. What can I do to send the message? I am running Windows XP.
Thanks.

You can try clearing your Internet cache and cookies and then revisit
the website and try again. Assuming that you are using Internet
Explorer 6,

- close IE
- go to Control Panel > Internet Options
- On the "General" tab, click the buttons for "Delete cookies" and
"Delete Files." It make take a couple of minutes before you can OK your
way out.
- Open IE and try again. If it still doesn't work, it's probably a
problem with the website.

Try from another system. If it works, do some cleanup on your system.

If it doesn't work, this is very likely nothing to do with XP, but rather a
problem with the website code.

If you can't find another email address or phone number so you can send them
a message without their form, there's basically nothing you can do till
they realize nobody's contacting them and fix it.

The fault lies with the web site. They obviously don't want to hear from you
(or anyone else).

I cannot phone anybody as I am deaf for all practical purposes and can only communicate with these folks via email. I appreciate you taking the time to offer constructive help. Thanks so much.

Very frustrating for a deaf person not to be able to communicate with a company through their website "contact us" email form and the darn thing not work!! I can only hope it will continue to work in the future should the need arise to contact them again. Thanks for taking the time to reply, it was helpful.
