Could someone clarify for me whether Catalyst A.I produces gains on
3D/gaming in general, or if it only concerns itself with pre-programmed
optimizations for certain games. Or is it a bit of both? Any stability
worries liklley to result from sticking it on high and leaving it there
for the hell of it?

Just pre-programed optimizations. There should be no impact on stability,
though you may, for example, notice FSAA not kicking-in with a couple of
games when you force it with the control panel.

Yeah, as I suspected. I have nothing here which is likely to use the A.I.
But since I switched to Tray Tools I can turn it on, so... ;-)
