I read the earlier thread "Best Drivers for Radeon 8500 ... " and decided
to revert back to Cat 3.7 and I suggest you do the same for the 7500. I
have the 8500.
I had loaded Cat 3.10 and I was having intermittent problems. On boot, I
would sometimes get a temporary message "video mode not supported" which
would go away and the computer seemed to work OK.
Normal screen loads seemed to be slowed down (just my impression).
I trued to run Flt Sim Ver 9 last week and found it was all screwed up.
Runway lights were offset and tripled, appeared to be sluggish although the
frame rates were ok.
I did a clean load of Cat 3.7. Now I *know* my video refreshes are
snappier and now clean boots. Flt Sim Ver 9 runs great. I suggest you
try Cat 3.7 before you give up. It has helped me ... and no more Cat
updates for me.
