Have a Gateway Solo with XP Pro on it and can not get it
to recognize the Orb Drive. Castlewood states the drive is
plug and play, have installed and unistalled many time to
no avail. Has anyone found a fix for this.
Thank you

Hi Bill:

I can't answer your question, but the last time I used my Orb (under Windows
98) it worked fine. Perhaps the Orb driver is just not compatible with XP.
Castlewood may have an updated driver. I suggest you check for one at their
website.

I doubt if I will ever use my Orb again. The price of regular hard drives is
so low anymore that using a 2 GB Orb drive no longer is worth the trouble,
especially considering their low reliability. Mine died twice after a short
time. At least I got free replacements from Castlewood.

Regards.
