Case Sensitive email addresses

Hi, I am looking for a fix/patch for my issue.

The issue is quite hard to explain, so I will give examples.

John Smith is in our GAL (Global Address List) with the e-mail private.php?do=newpm&u=

John sends me an email, and in the "From:" field, it shows up as the name John Smith.

That is normal.

Now, when John Smith is sending me mail from the same address, but this time he is sending it from either a blackberry or a different source, the email is showing up as private.php?do=newpm&u=. In the "From:" field, I do not see his name, but the actual email address. Now what I concluded is that Outlook is going to nickname private.php?do=newpm&u= because I appointed him to that email address.

But how do I solve the issue of this case-sensitivity?

Outlook will display whatever the client tells it to display. I suspect the
Blackberry doesn't have a "friendly name" defined in the account setup.
Check the account settings in the Blackberry.
