Carey, I posted this but no one seems to know the answer to my problem. Can
you help please?

CDROM is first on the list in BIOS.

Any other ideas?

If you cannot get the Windows XP CD to boot, then download
the Windows XP setup floppy disks.

If your have a Windows XP CD with SP1, you need to download
the setup disks for use with the Windows XP SP1 installation CD.

If your Windows XP installation CD does not include SP1,
use the setup disks for the "original release" of Windows XP.

Thank you very much. One last question: how do I know whether I have Win XP
with SP1 or without?

Look at the Windows XP CD itself. If it has SP1,
it should be noted on the CD.

Is this an original XP CD or a burned copy?
