I have accumulated a lot of work related business cards and would like to
enter them into a 'Rolodex's type database.
Is there any program that could do this or able to scan in multiple cards
and sort them out? probably a tall order but one never knows!! :-)

Regards

Adam

You need an OCR program, unless you want to save an image of the card
in the database (which can be done too). Freeware OCR programs have
been discussed here before, but no one seems too happy with the
results produced by any of them.

This includes the Xerox OCR program that came bundled with my Primascan
Colorado (Visioneer) scanner. Yeah, it works. But there's a catch: the
gotcha is that it'll only read large fonts. Even though the scanner has
a native 1200 DPI resolution, the software won't use it. And, oh, it
comes with a nice card with which to buy the upgrade.

Bundleware.
Gotchaware.
