Is it possible to capture video from s-video port of
Digital video camera to laptop through s-video port ? On
laptop I do not have firewire port(ieee 1394).

Only if the graphics support video in... and most do not. Certainly on a
notebook I would not expect to find this capability.

You can purchase a PCMCIA firewire card for the notebook and import via
firewire.... however since most notebooks have small hard drives, be aware
that 1 hour of camcorder footage is 12gb in DV-AVI format on the hard drive.
